Job Description
This is for a 6-month position from July - December 2021.
Within research and development, the Protein and Cell Engineering group focuses on the expression of antibodies to support research into biologic therapeutics for Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, ALS, Parkinson’s and other neurological indications. The Co-op project will focus on cloning, expressing, and characterizing antibodies for a novel antibody technology.
Position Description:
The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in drug discovery, be willing to learn new techniques, and communicate effectively in a group setting. Previous lab experience is preferred, especially in the areas of mammalian cell culture, molecular biology, protein expression, and biochemistry.

Qualifications
To participate in the Biogen Intern or Co-op Program, students must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Enrollment in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program, returning to the academic program following Biogen Intern or Co-op assignment
- Minimum grade point average of 3.2 preferred
- At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date
- Completed at least one year of undergraduate studies
Education
- Master’s student or Undergraduate student who has completed at least two years of program
- Desired majors include: Biological/Biomedical Engineering, Biology, Biochemistry, and Pharmaceutical Sciences
