About this role:

The Director/Therapeutic Area Head leads overall strategy, planning and execution for all health outcomes research and RWE strategy for assigned Therapeutic Area (TA). 

There are 2 TA Head positions available: Neuromuscular and Pipeline

What You’ll Do:

You will participate in global commercial and development platforms, translate research and business needs into protocols, execute, and translate results into solutions for internal stakeholders.

You will apply your in-depth knowledge of real-world evidence (RWE) and health outcomes research to drive a large portfolio of complex, business-critical retrospective and prospective health outcomes research and RWE projects, survey projects, literature reviews (systematic/pragmatic) and evidence synthesis (meta-analyses, NMA, MAIC etc.) etc. to demonstrate the value of Biogen’s products (marketed and pipeline), through direction of direct and cross-functional teams.

Working closely with TA Heads in Value and Access, Medical and R&D you will budget, plan and execute health outcomes research and RWE projects for assigned therapeutic area; and translate outcomes into meaningful messages for internal and external stakeholders.

In addition you will partner with MHOR Value Communications to ensure ongoing training for teams in assigned TA, and develop the tools and evidence needed to demonstrate value to external stakeholders (clinicians, payers, patients).

You are knowledgeable about the healthcare and access landscape with a clear understanding of how it impacts the customer’s behaviors and clinical practices.

Qualifications

 

Required Skills and Education:

·       Advanced degree (PhD or Masters) in pharmacy administration, HEOR, public health, epidemiology or related field.

 

·       Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience in outcomes research/RWE preferably in pharma/biotech; consulting or CRO experience will be considered.

 

·       Recognized in the industry for a deep understanding of outcomes research and RWE issues, and how they relate to demonstrating and disseminating drug value

 

·       Strong record of leading teams and demonstrated ability to influence at the Leadership Team level.

 

·       Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and present complex and/or new ideas with clarity and simplicity.

 

·       Demonstrated success in managing and motivating cross functional teams to achieve common objectives.

 

·       Exceptional oral and written communication skills to all employment levels and to executive leadership teams.
