Co-op: Computational Chemistry

  • Full-time
  • Region: US
  • Department: Interns & Co-ops

Job Description

This is for a 6-month full-time co-op from January to June 2021

DNA-Encoded libraries consist of billions of molecules that are screened against targets of interest to generate novel hits to start small molecule drug discovery programs. This screening method generates thousands of potential hits with different enrichment scores. The level of enrichment may not correlate with binding affinity. Also, there is a possibility for high false positive rate as the data is inherently noisy. Selecting true hits can be challenging. Co-op student will work on one or more DEL screening datasets to develop methods to find true hits and derive structure activity relationship information from the data.
