Job Description

In this field based, leadership position you will be responsible for developing a territory plan with clear metrics and guidance for a team of Family Access Managers. You will recruit, train, develop, and mentor your team’s performance; build community awareness; and educate stakeholders to support the launch of a new product in rare disease.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Lead, mentor and develop the Family Access Manager team (staffing, team organization, planning, direction and controls). Collaborate and partner with Rare Disease, Senior Field Director to develop strategy and day to day direction for team.

• Lead regular cross-functional meetings at the regional/national level with account executives, patient services, market access t and other key stakeholders.

• Lead team to execute on key pre and post launch initiatives including work with patient advocacy groups, identification of administration sites, and creating community awareness on disease state, product and Biogen.

• Work cross functionally to identify and lead the resolution of patient access barriers such as insurance coverage, site of care logistics, procurement / distribution challenges.

• Ensure teams are well trained on compliance guidelines enabling them to provide appropriate education to families, caregivers, health care professionals and advocacy groups.

• Plan and support the development of individuals' skills and abilities so that they can fulfill current or future job/role responsibilities more effectively.

• Generate innovative solutions in work situations; trying different and novel ways to deal with problems and opportunities

Qualifications

7+ years of sales experience in the medical field, case management, or social work type field
• 3+ years of managing field teams with the ability to motivate and inspire them.
• Must be familiar with relevant legal and regulatory environment and capable of managing others to operate compliantly
• Must have high EQ and be able to provide the appropriate level of emotional support for caregivers and support their team members to do the same
• Can identify issues quickly and can develop recommendations to resolve them
• Establishes effective relationships through mutual respect and trust in dealing with others
• Must be comfortable spending 60% of their time traveling

Education :

BA in healthcare, social work, nursing or similar field. Graduate degree preferred
