Company Description

The Customer & Market Insights Sr. Manager is responsible for implementing and assessing integrated strategic insights and analytics on affiliate business performance utilizing Market Research, business execution insight, business performance reporting and competitive intelligence.

Has the primary responsibility to support the affiliate ongoing efforts to build functional excellence using strategic thinking and advanced business analytics capabilities. Provides regular insight generating recommendations for affiliate leadership teams and key business functions and manages key forecast processes. Is a member of the CE&O team reporting to the CE&O Head.

 

The Customer & Market Insights (CMI) Sr. Manager is responsible for the market situation analysis that informs business decisions:

  • Gathers and generates insights from the market place converting them on actionable issues to be shared with the cross-functional brand teams
  • Develops and oversees all the company forecasting activities inputting into strategic planning process
  • Understands market trends, competitive situation in the market identifying threats and opportunities for the company
  • Ensures correct reporting capability is in place for the affiliate

The Customer & Market Insights Sr. Manager will also partner with EU CMI to develop regional projects and takes on ad-hoc managerial tasks in support of the Head of CE&O.

Accountability Description

Insight Generation:

  • Designs and implements the therapy areas market research plan, ensuring correct insight generation along the year, aligned to strategic and operational planning processes
  • Analyses and creates data to correctly quantify market opportunities and threats
  • Supports brand teams on incorporating analytics to business decisions and ensuring market understanding
  • Represents Spain within the CMI EU network, ensuring it is well represented within the EU overview and that local insights are shared timely to improve regional understanding of local reality      

Forecasting:

  • Creates and populates patient-based forecasting models triangulating different sources of information
  • Develops scenarios to cover forecast sensitivities
  • Contributes to country story through insight gathering and visualization of opportunities for the future
  • Works as a link with finance, demand planning and customer services, updating demand forecast
  • Supports Value & Access on price negotiations scenarios

Reporting:

  • Creates performance dashboard to update in-field, brand and leadership teams
  • Ensures correct integration of different sources of information
  • Coordinates monthly report for company reporting purposes
  • Trains new employees on market and sales situation by therapy area

Qualifications

  • University Degree in Science and/or degree in Business
  • Languages: Spanish & English
  • Strong Excel, Power Point, Work Skills. Familiarity with databases.
  • Previous 5-7 years’ experience in market research and/or analytics roles within the pharma industry or consultancy
