Job Description

This is a critical role within Biogen’s Risk & Resiliency program with responsibility for the day to day management of the Business Continuity function.  This role advocates for the program with business leaders and other stakeholders, manages the Business Continuity system, schedules and independently conducts business impact analysis and risk assessment interviews, and provides guidance to business function leaders on the build out of Business Continuity plans.

  • Manages day to day operations of Business Continuity program and executes on Business Continuity strategy
  • Provides support to Business Continuity Plan Owners and Plan Builders during program implementation
  • Manages and develops Business Continuity planning tool (Archer)
  • Interviews functional leadership during business impact analysis and risk assessment interviews
  • During crisis events, this role executes on actions as directed by the Enterprise Risk Management Committee
  • Managing the configuration of the BC tool, both prior to implementation and then on an ongoing basis to optimize usability for end-users
  • Educating country and business function leadership on BC program, its requirements and plan-building

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years of Business Continuity, Risk management, Security or related experience
  • Prior knowledge and use of Business Continuity tool
  • Ability to drive and proven prior success in leading a Business Continuity program end-to-end. Can work independently on projects but also with other stakeholders.
