Job Description

The Manager, Contract Operations is responsible for the contracts and templates draft and review at affiliate(s) level in line with local regulation and legal requirements across all function(s) and Therapeutic areas
The Manager, Contract Operations ensures contracts and templates are compliant with internal SOPs and external procedures and provides guidance to all functions on contract and addendum employment under the supervision of legal Corporate function.

Contract Management
• He/She cooperates in the contract/addendum/master template creation and implementation
• He/She liaises with Legal Corporate function for the contract local needs analysis, contract template creation, modification and approval, master agreements included. Needs analysis, creation, modification and validation of model contracts
• He/She collects contract approval and maintain contracts and addendums database up to date
• He/She acts as a first point of contact for inquiries on contracts for all functions within the affiliate and provide guidance on contract and addendum
• He/She supervises contract filing and recording into database, in cooperation with administrative assistants
• He/She monitors and follows up on framework agreements signed and their renewal/extension/close-out
• He/She creates and delivers trainings to managers and all employees on contract management
• Write and update procedures related to contracts (in accordance with local regulations and Corporate procedures)
• May communicate with vendors and/or service providers as necessary to resolve contract issues
2. Corporate Administration
• He/She provides support on corporate administration activities (BoD, Shareholders meeting, Power of Attorney etc.) coordinating with Legal Corporate function where appropriate
3. Clinical Trials
• He/She supports and provides guidance, within the Clinical Trials framework, on contractual and legal related activities/matters acting as a first point of contact for internal stakeholders
4. Audits and Inspections
• Support Legal function with regard to contractual matters during affiliates’ local authority inspections, including Regulatory Authority, Competition Authority and others
• Support Legal function for affiliate readiness for corporate audits, namely by conducting self-assessments on affiliate’s contracts and other legal processes.
Job holder must respect internal rules and all rules based on the respective legal and ethical (AIFP codex) standards. Any safety related information concerning Biogen products (adverse event / suspicion on adverse event etc.) must report to the Affiliate Safety Designated Staff in accordance with current internal company rules. Any quality related information concerning Biogen products (product complaints / product defects / suspicion on product defects / falsified medicinal products etc.) must reports directly to the Manager, Quality & Governance in accordance with current internal company rules.

Qualifications

Master degree in law/economics and/or proven track of experience in contract operations

•3+ years of experience in similar role or experience in a law firm overseen the contract operations independently
•Must be fluent in English, plus Affiliate local languages. Additional languages are an advantage.
Relevant work experience in a pharmaceutical company, for example, in controlling, contract management
•Good work organization
