Job Description

What you’ll be doing

  • Data compilation and reporting of metabolomics services projects for customers
  • Statistical analysis and interpretation of metabolomics and lipidomics datasets
  • Driving of automation and standardization efforts following the biocrates data FAIR principle in metabolomics
  • Support of omics biomarker discovery projects including study design and analysis
  • Collaboration with the software development team to improve analytical workflows and generate new tools for statistics and visualization

Qualifications

Does this sound like you?

  • Either academic background (MSc) in biochemistry, molecular biology, molecular medicine, or related field with extensive experience in bioinformatics and biostatistics, or academic background (MSc) in bioinformatics, biostatistics, computational biology, or related field with extensive experience in biochemistry or metabolism
  • Experienced in statistical evaluation of omics-, biomarker, and/or disease-related data including handling of large and complex data sets, database programming, data integration, biomarker identification, and data visualization
  • Hands-on experience programming in R
  • Fluency in English (oral and written)

  • Interest in human health, metabolism and biochemical pathways
  • Ability to communicate complex science and motivated to work in interdisciplinary teams as well as independently
  • An interest in community building, both within the company and with the metabolomics community at large
  • Accountability as a driver for innovation
