Responsibilities
Practice Leadership & Growth
- Shape the strategic direction and technical maturity of the Cloud Practice.
- Build and mentor a high-performing team of engineers and architects, fostering curiosity, collaboration, and excellence.
- Align skills and seniority within the team to maintain balance, capability depth, and career growth opportunities.
- Partner with other Practice Leads to drive consistency in engineering quality across all Bilue disciplines.
- Partner with Finance and HR Business Leads to managed and drive business performance efficiently
- Build teams to deliver client requirements as necessary, from designing and development through to ongoing support and maintenance and managed services contracts.
- Adhere to best practice standards, such as ISO 27001 in all areas of operations.
Business Growth & Solution Design
- Collaborate with Sales and Delivery teams to design cloud-enabled solutions that solve real client problems.
- Lead pre-sales activities, including proposal reviews, RFP/RFI responses, and architecture validation.
- Provide subject matter expertise on cloud modernisation, integration, and platform migration projects.
- Act as a key contributor to Bilue’s go-to-market approach for Cloud, helping shape deals and value propositions.
Technical Leadership & Delivery
- Define and uphold Bilue’s cloud architecture standards, frameworks, and reusable IP.
- Lead solution design and technical governance for major client engagements.
- Drive quality assurance and delivery health through design reviews and coaching.
- Stay ahead of emerging cloud trends (DevSecOps, hybrid architectures, FinOps, AI integration) and translate them into practical solutions for clients.
- Flexible and driven to build new services and revenue lines.
Community & Culture
- Create and foster a thriving internal community of practice across Cloud Engineering.
- Promote collaboration, learning and sharing across teams, projects, and locations.
- Represent Bilue externally through thought leadership, events and industry engagement.
Qualifications
- Technically strong, people-driven leader with a balance of strategy, delivery, and mentorship.
- Deep technical expertise across AWS and Azure, with certifications highly regarded.
- Proven track record leading high-performing teams and mentoring engineers to deliver exceptional outcomes.
- Experience in delivering ongoing Managed Services contracts.
- Strong commercial and pre-sales acumen, comfortable shaping proposals, estimates, and solution narratives.
- Excellent communicator, able to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable language for clients and teams.
- Natural collaborator who builds trusted relationships and thrives in a fast-paced consulting environment.
- Recognised thought leader who inspires curiosity, confidence, and innovation.
- Client-focused and outcome-driven, delivering solutions that create measurable impact.
