We’re looking for Cloud Infrastructure Architect – San Diego, CA (Remote). This is 6+ months contract position....

Note: This will be remote until COVID

 Responsibilitie

Architect and provide guidance, and direction in the design, develop and implement automated solutions, based on a set of standards and processes that enable the client and DevOps teams to easily consume public cloud services delivered by CCOE.

Collaborate and support Engineers, Architects, and teams in implementing a comprehensive cloud platform with a focus on DevOps and Cloud environments.

Creation of standardized templates using orchestrators such as Terraform or Cloud Formation

Manage assigned project activities to achieve stated project goals, objectives, and schedules.

Follow security best practices. Interact with security team to implement and maintain security controls on the cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related scientific or technical discipline or 8 years of IT Experience.

Deep understanding of Cloud Services for Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure and, but not limited to, Infrastructure as a Service (VPC/VNET, EC2/Virtual Machines, Security Groups, Network ACL, ELB/ALB/NLB, etc), Platform as a Service (EBS/S3/Blob, Database, Route53, CDN, etc), Serverless Services (Lambda/Functions, etc), Micro Services (Docker, ECS, etc), Security Services (Lacework, GuardDuty, WAF, HSM, KMS, etc)

Experience working with Infrastructure as a Code

Working knowledge of scripting language (Python, Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript, ...)

Demonstrated on-the-job experience with system administration, architecting or integration in AWS/Azure/GCP

Solid grasp of high availability and disaster recovery solutions, replication and automation technologies

AWS or Azure Certified
