This is our direct-client opening for a Sr. SQL Server Database Administrator located in Los Angeles, CA. This is a Full-time permanent position 

The Senior SQL Server Database Administrator is responsible for all technical aspects involved in the daily functioning all SQL Servers.

In this capacity, the Senior Application Database Administrator will:

Maximize SQL system performance;

Minimize SQL system downtime;

Monitoring SQL system log files for errors and potential performance bottlenecks;

Coordinating data propagation to/from peripheral systems communicating with application owners; 

Troubleshooting performance/space issues on an application level;

Responsible for capacity planning;

Performing UAT & development system refreshes, performing data masking and data reduction; and Responsible for any communication or backup/restore requests with Systems DBA.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree;

At least 8 years of information technology experience;

At least 5 years of software development or DBA experience;

At least 3 years’ executive level engagement and customer service;

At least 5 years’ of experience in a professional services or legal environment (preferred);

Advanced knowledge of SQL and SQL Server Administration tasks (DBA skills);

Advanced knowledge of IIS & ASP.NET;

Advanced knowledge of software development procedures and tools;

Advanced knowledge of customer service practices and philosophy;

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications; and

Advanced proficiency in Atlassian tools such as Confluence, Jira, Portfolio and Service Desk.
