Job Description

Opening for a Director of Engineering (Consumer Journeys) located in San Francisco, CA. This is a Full-Time Position that pays in the $200-300K Base Salary range. Relocation assistance is also provided to nonlocal candidates.

As the Director of Engineering for Consumer Journeys, you’ll be responsible for defining product and technology strategy to building end-to-end consumer experiences. You will be leading a team of high performing engineers working across multiple platforms IOS, Android, Web and Backend services. You will partner closely with your Product Managers and Analysts to help define the Product strategy and Roadmap. You will be working on high-volume applications that power the our marketplace and leading high performing teams to build an engaging selling experience for millions of customers daily and generating billions of dollars in annual revenue. You are a huge proponent of Test Driven Development, and will advocate and hold engineers accountable for following this pattern rigorously.

Qualifications:
You bring in more than 10 years of work experience in software design and development with over 2 years of managing larger teams of 40+ or more engineers through 3-4 managers
Experience and in build products with full stack technologies, with excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures and algorithms.
Experience with agile development methodologies with Test Driven Development (TDD) and CD (Continuous delivery)
Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills
Strong people management skills, that includes the ability to coach and mentor engineers and managers of all skill levels
Consistently made culture choices that positively impact all of engineering
MS or PhD in Computer Science or related discipline.
