Cyber Security Engineer and Sr. Systems Architect

Job Description

1) This is a direct-client opening for a Cyber Security Engineer in Orlando, FL. This is a full-time position.

Required Skills: 

• A strong understanding of at least one major object-oriented language (C++, Java, etc.) and one major scripting language (BASH, PowerShell, Python) 

• Experience implementing security functionality that complies with NIST SP 800-53 security controls.

• Hands-on experience configuring and navigating Linux and Windows operating systems

• Hands-on experience with network security tools and networking protocols

• Thorough understanding of enterprise security principles and best practices

• A self-motivated drive for learning new technologies and an interest in professional growth

Preferred Skills: 

• A strong understanding of multiple major object-oriented languages (C++, Java, etc.) and multiple scripting languages (BASH, PowerShell, Python, etc.) 

• Experience with source-code analysis tools and with software development lifecycle approaches.

• Experience with enterprise management tools and concepts such as DNS, LDAP, NTP, SAN

• Experience with virtualization solutions (VMware, Hyper-V, RedHat Virtualization)

Preferred Certifications: 

• An active Information Security related certification (Security+, CCNA Security, CEH)

• An active SECRET Security Clearance

 

2) This is a direct-client opening for a Sr. Systems Architect in Orlando, FL. This is a full-time position.

Required Skills: 

• Knowledge of standard systems engineering, computer software and hardware principles to support the acquisition and life cycle management of electronic, computer based military systems or simulation, simulators, training systems and instrumentation projects. 

• Knowledge of CTIA

• Knowledge of the application of current engineering technology as related to the design of electronic computer-based military equipment. 

• Ability to communicate and guide software development team implementation 

• Ability to analyze statistical and performance data that is helpful to perform market surveys, risk analysis, trade-off studies, baseline cost estimates and reliability, availability, maintainability (RAM) analysis needed to support the materiel acquisition decision making process. 

• Ability to coordinate engineering, procurement, program control, configuration test, manufacturing, and integrated logistics support. 

• Ability to execute complex, multi-faceted projects within established financial and time constraints. 

• Expertise in all areas associated with the development and integration of state-of-the-art engineering concepts within modeling and simulation and testing or training systems. 

• Ability to provide technical advice on the conceptual design of simulations, simulators, training, and instrumentation systems required to support complex military equipment or systems. 

• Knowledge of software management techniques to include software requirements analysis and design methodologies, software metrics, software reuse, software documentation, independent verification and validation (IV&V) criteria, and configuration management. 

• Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) tools. 

Knowledge in any of the following areas would be considered a plus: 

• Previous experience in Enterprise Architect, JIRA 

• Knowledge of operational or developmental testing community customers, policies, programs, organizations

• Knowledge of live training domain DevOps tools

• Automated DevOps environments

• Dockers

• Kubernetes

• VMWare suite of tools (ESXi, VCenter, Orchestrator, NSX)

• Secure systems 

• Knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) materiel acquisition process 

Required Education/Experience: 

• Bachelors degree in a technical discipline such as electrical engineering, computer science, information technology, systems or software engineering from an accredited college or university. 

• Minimum 9+ years experience solving complex DoD engineering or technical problems in a senior role. 

Other Requirements: Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U. S. Citizenship status with ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance. Security Clearance requirements will be specified in the Government's Task Order.
