Job Description

1) My client is looking for an Equity Research Associate – Healthcare Services, Managed Care located in New York City, NY. This is Full Time Position. 

This individual will work closely with the Senior Equity Research Analyst to assist in preparing and executing analyses of functional areas and companies within the Healthcare Services industry, specifically Managed Care.  

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Collect, evaluate and apply statistical and financial data on the economy and financial markets, specifically with respect to researching common stocks within Healthcare Services.

Maintain company databases using spreadsheet and database software. 

Prepare reports, opinions, recommendations, and statistical data, financial statement modeling, for use in the formulation of the investment policies and/or recommendations of the firm. 

Prepare studies and other data for firm publication issued to the general public.

Prepare and disseminate special studies, models, forecasts, and/or presentations to furnish information for investment decisions.

Answer inquiries from firm personnel regarding individual securities or industry. 

Experience/Qualifications Required:

Experience in Equity Research, Inv. Banking, Asset Management or Consulting strongly preferred

Qualified candidates will possess a BS or BA in health care or business (with a focus in economics or finance).  

CFA and/or MBA strongly preferred

Strong financial modeling skills

Must possess the ability to synthesize data and articulate findings through excellent written and oral presentation skills

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Highest attention to detail 

Wall Street licenses (Series 7/63/86/87) a plus

 

2)  My client is looking for an Equity Research Associate – Biotech for their location in New York City, NY.  This is a Permanent Position

This individual will work closely with senior equity research professionals to assist in preparing and executing analyses of functional areas within the therapeutics industry.  

Experience and Qualifications Required:

• In-depth knowledge in a key area of the biotech and pharmaceutical industries including clinical development,  regulatory affairs, business development, marketing, or strategic planning;  management consulting experience or equity research experience

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• 2-4 years of professional experience preferred

• Ability to search, understand and interpret scientific and medical publications

• Strong quantitative, financial modeling and Excel skills

• General understanding of statistical analysis techniques

• Highest attention to detail

• Ability to work independently, multi-task and manage tight timelines

• MD or PhD strongly preferred.
