This is a direct-client opening for an RPG Programmer located in Farmingdale, NY. This is a full-time position.. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for analysis, planning, design, programming, testing, implementation and documentation of all business software application requests associated with our existing ERP system.
Maintains the integrity and the accuracy of data used to manage out daily business operations.
The RPG Programmer will be writing codes to generate reports, writing codes to integrate between different applications, and will be involved in the development of project upgrades.
Serves as a liaison between the Finance/Purchasing/Sales/Distribution and the IT department in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs.
Assists in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology.
Analyzes all aspects of operations to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions.
Negotiates agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between current software vendor and IT.

QUALIFICATIONS:

B.S. in Computer Science (or relevant field)
5+ years’ experience in RPG development (such as RPG3, RPG4, and ILE)
Prior experience in and ERP system, specifically Retalix and NCR Power Enterprise systems
