About your new role | He kōrero whakamārama mō tēnei tūranga

This opportunity is ideal for qualified and experienced health professionals who enjoy autonomy, flexibility, and meaningful community-based work. As a Better Days ACC Contractor, you will:

• Provide services across home, community, school, workplace and/or clinic environments.
• Complete discipline-specific reports and documentation required to support ACC-funded services, client outcomes, goal progression and service recommendations.
• Work flexibly in the community while managing your own schedule and caseload.
• Provide person-centred, strengths-based services that support meaningful outcomes.
• Collaborate with an experienced multidisciplinary team while maintaining contractor independence.
• Access clinical support, peer connection, and professional development opportunities through Better Days.
• Deliver culturally responsive, strengths-based, and person- and whānau-centred services.

Qualifications

• A recognised tertiary qualification relevant to their profession, including: 
  - Bachelor or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
  - Bachelor or Master's degree in Speech-Language Therapy / Speech Pathology
  - Postgraduate qualification in Clinical, Counselling, Educational, Health, or Registered Psychology
  - Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy
  - Bachelor or Master's degree  in Social Work or equivalent
  - Bachelor degree in Nursing or equivalent recognised nursing qualification
• Relevant post-qualification clinical experience in your area of practice.
• Experience working within community, disability, rehabilitation, health, mental health, injury rehabilitation, or related settings is desirable.
• Experience delivering ACC-funded services and familiarity with ACC contracts, pathways, and reporting requirements is advantageous.
• An understanding of the New Zealand health and disability system and ACC funding pathways.
• The ability to work autonomously and provide services in community and home-based environments.
• Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, communication, and report-writing skills.
• Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and culturally responsive practice
• Alignment with Better Days’ values
• Availability to travel Auckland wide
• A current full New Zealand driver licence and access to your own car
• Evidence of your right to work in New Zealand
