Job Description
Flexibility with structure. Autonomy with real support.
Better Rehab is a clinician-founded and clinician-led disability and aged care provider. Our leaders understand the realities of clinical work because they’ve lived it. That means realistic expectations, genuine flexibility and a workplace designed for long-term, sustainable careers.
Our Hobart office is a friendly and supportive, multidisciplinary team of nine clinicians, with a senior-heavy team of OTs, Speechies and Physios, with support from an Allied Health Assistant and an Intake team.
This role supports older adults to remain safe, independent and engaged in their own homes through the Stay at Home funding model. It's an excellent opportunity for Occupational Therapists who are passionate about helping older adults thrive in the community and have an interest in assistive technology, prescription of equipment and home modifications. You'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on quality of life while delivering person-centred, evidence-based care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting functional assessments and documenting client needs in detailed reports.
- Communicating identified needs with clients, families and service providers, and coordinating appropriate referrals to relevant health professionals or specialists.
- Prescribing suitable equipment and recommending home modifications to support client independence and safety.
Why Better Rehab?
You’ll be backed by dedicated 1:1 supervision, monthly group supervision and a multidisciplinary team to support complex cases and your ongoing development.
