Job Description

As a ServiceNow SAM Specialist, you will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of the ServiceNow Software Asset Management platform. This role involves working closely with IT teams to ensure efficient management of software assets and compliance with licensing agreements.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and configure the ServiceNow SAM platform according to business requirements and setup custom SaaS licensing usage integrations and reclamation.
  • Maintain and optimize the SAM platform, ensuring accurate tracking of software licenses and compliance.
  • Must have experience in SAM Entitlements, Software Model mapping, SCCM integrations, Custom integrations (ex. JetBrains, Docker), and Out of the Box Publisher Packs (ex. Slack, Smartsheet).
  • Experience working with web technologies like HTML, JavaScript, AngularJS, XML, JSON, Web Services (Rest, SOAP) Architecture
  • Collaborate with IT and procurement teams to manage software inventory and lifecycle.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures for effective software asset management.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on the SAM platform.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and updates in software asset management and ServiceNow features.
  • Generate reports and insights for management on software utilization and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or relevant field.
  • Proven experience in implementing and maintaining ServiceNow SAM or similar asset management platforms.
  • Strong understanding of IT asset management and software licensing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Information

 Additional Preferred Skills

  • ServiceNow certifications, especially in SAM.
  • Experience in ServiceNow SAM Pro capabilities like license cost optimization & entitlement packs.
  • Experience in scripting and automation within ServiceNow.
  • Familiarity with ITIL frameworks.
