JOB SUMMARY

The Entry Level Software Developer is a motivated, energetic, team player who can quickly learn new systems and technologies. This individual will be able to apply their knowledge of software engineering to solve real-world problems for our customers. This includes correcting issues in existing software and developing new solutions in Beta Soft Systems suite of products.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• Work under general direction with the ability to act independently when determining methods and procedures on new or existing functionality.
• Contribute in the process of feature design, coding, unit testing, reviewing and debugging.
• Work in a team environment as well as independently.
• Manage time constraints and deadlines.

The Entry Level Software Engineer will also be required to:

• Work within an agile scrum team, promoting an atmosphere of continuous improvement.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with stakeholders throughout the organization.
• Learn the technologies, languages, and practices used to develop products.
• Trouble shoot and resolve issues in existing software.
• Participate in design and development of new applications or modules.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

BA/BS in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent work experience.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

Strong problem-solving skills; ability to learn new development language quickly and apply that knowledge effectively; outstanding communications and interpersonal skills with internal and external customers; strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task; ability to work in a collaborative fast paced environment, Windows Operating system functionality, MS Office and productivity related applications.

Must be knowledgeable of software development concepts and proficient in one or more of the following languages:

• C#
• C/C++
• Objective-C
• Java
• SQL
• JavaScript
