Job Description
As a Procurement Buyer you will provide support to the purchasing lifecycle specific to US in-territory purchasing requirements.
As a member of the Procurement Department you will work with global colleagues and align with global policies and processes. You will provide best practice expertise for purchase control while effectively communicating with suppliers and internal customers. Building strong relationships with supporting teams will be essential to your success in this role.
The salary range for this position is between $55,000 to $65,000 annually. This role is eligible for our hybrid work from home policy.
Qualifications
- An understanding of procurement principles and experience working within a purchasing function.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of commercials and negotiations.
- ISM CPM or CPSM; CIPS Level 2+, or studying towards CIPS and knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and Sharepoint.
- Experience building effective working relationships across all levels of the business.
- Understanding of accounts/accounting principles.
- Ability to manage suppliers.
- Strong planning, delivery, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks appropriately.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills.
Additional Information
- Ensuring PO requesters have full visibility of their requests and reviewing all PORs prior to processing to understand customer needs.
- Requesting, assessing, and converting quotes to POs, ensuring value for money (VFM) based on quality, value, quantity, availability, and deliverability.
- Distributing and receipting POs in line with agreed processes, ensuring alignment to correct project codes, categories, and legal entities.
- Working closely with team members to manage and escalate supplier issues and queries appropriately.
- Partnering with external suppliers and internal customers to schedule order call-offs and deliveries to various locations.
- Sourcing and booking travel and accommodations.
- Supporting the rollout of new procurement systems and working with Purchase Ledger and suppliers to resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Working closely with accounts and tax teams to ensure governance compliance and logging/escalating supplier performance issues.
- Providing assistance to other teams members, supporting procurement transformation, and continuously identifying process improvements.
- Other duties as assigned.
