Job Description

As a Human Resources Administrator, you will provide support to our HR department by ensuring the smooth operation of administrative tasks.

As part of the team, you will support the delivery of a first-class service to all our stakeholders working together to drive business growth.

You will be responsible for a range of daily administrative duties, where your keen eye for detail and organisational abilities will be vital in ensuring the smooth running of HR processes.

The role offers an interesting and fast-paced daily workload beginning with absence processing, new starter background checks and processing staff updates whilst gradually expanding your portfolio of tasks and responsibilities as your knowledge and experience develops. Previous experience in human resources is not necessary as full training is provided.

This position is offered as a 9-month fixed term contract on a full-time basis, working 5 days from 7 (typically Monday to Friday).

The ideal candidate will be available to start immediately. 

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an administrative role.
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail whilst working to tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivation with a strong desire to succeed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills.
  • Hands on approach with experience of working in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Information

  • Handling new starter documentation and completing right to work checks in line with statutory requirements.
  • Ensuring references and verification checks are carried out and recorded according to internal policies and procedures.
  • Processing absence across the business, responding to management queries where necessary.
  • Supporting HR processes throughout the entire employee lifecycle.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and discretion at all times.
  • Escalating to management when critical issues are identified.
