Job Description
As an AML Assurance Auditor, you will deliver projects which demonstrate the efficiency, effectiveness and robust compliance of our AML/CTF Program to our Board and senior managers.
The AML Assurance team operates an integrated Assurance Program that combines independent reviews, thematic reviews and continuous monitoring processes to provide assurance on the efficiency, effectiveness and robust compliance of the Program.
You will develop, lead and deliver thematic assurance reviews of related control systems, contribute to annual planning and help build a resilient and effective AML/CTF Program. All of which will contribute to assuring ongoing compliance and identifying opportunities for improvement in the way we manage and deliver on our AML/CTF obligations.
The role involves contributing to the Company’s risk-based procedures for targeting assurance work, ensuring the emphasis of the audit program is tightly focused on the areas that require the most support from independent thinking and evaluation.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience of applying internal audit professional qualifications, such as Law, Accounting, Business Management, or equivalent audit experience.
- Proven ability to scope, plan, and undertake internal audits, including assessing and evaluating internal controls.
- Experience in interpreting legal and regulatory requirements within compliance programs or compliance assurance reviews.
- Extensive knowledge and successful application of risk management and internationally recognised internal audit frameworks to identify and analyse risk, assess controls and evaluate effectiveness.
- Excellent attention to detail, with substantial experience in preparing written internal audit reports.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication, skills with the ability to influence change and engage diverse stakeholders at various levels.
- Experience working in highly regulated environments, particularly with AML/CTF regulation or in auditing compliance systems.
Additional Information
- Evaluating, planning, executing risk-based AML/CTF assurance projects to identify control weaknesses, compliance issues, and illicit financing risks, recommending process improvements and necessary changes.
- Contributing to annual assurance program planning, tracking, and governance in respect of previous recommendations.
- Consulting with stakeholders on audit activity and outcomes.
- Participating in audit program planning and supporting ad hoc investigations or strategic reviews.
- Working with others on the delivery of related projects and to manage and build relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Assisting in the operation of procedures which track recommendation implementation activity and recommendation closure processes.
- Applying a continuous learning mindset, staying informed and abreast of key trends, risks, developments and innovations.
- Optimising our processes and contributing strategic direction to the AML Program.
