Job Description

As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a vital role in the daily reconciliation of regulatory reports, ensuring all financial regulatory requirements are met in an accurate and timely manner.

You will be an integral part of the Regulatory Returns team, responsible for the seamless delivery of regulatory returns across both established and emerging markets.

In this role, you will be tasked with responsibilities requiring a keen eye for detail. Your primary focus will be supporting the team in meeting all Duty, Taxes, and ad hoc requests for regulated markets. Your contributions will be essential in maintaining our compliance standards and upholding our reputation as a responsible operator.

As we expand into new markets, this position presents an exciting opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. You will develop your expertise in regulatory compliance, gaining valuable insights into various market intricacies.

This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.

If successful, you will be required to provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK from your first day of employment.

Qualifications

  • Studying towards AAT.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to show initiative and grasp new concepts quickly.
  • Self-motivated and looks to make continuous improvements to processes.
  • Experience working with high volumes of data.
  • Proficiency in Excel functions.
  • Proactive and organised, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of the gambling industry and an interest in a wide range of sports is desirable.

Additional Information

  • Carrying out daily financial reconciliations for multiple markets.
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting the team in preparing Duties and Taxes.
  • Assisting in the completion of any required audits.
  • Investigating the causes of any large variations of figures used in submissions.  
  • Supporting with the testing and developing of regulatory reports.
  • Completing any ad hoc requests from key stakeholders.
