Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant to join our Insights & Analytics team. This is a unique opportunity to join a passionate team with high visibility and impact across the company. This role will support the VP of Insights & Analytics by contributing to the team's data analysis and presentation efforts as well as handling a variety of administrative tasks. Our expectation is that, as you grow in the role, you will become comfortable working with sales data and be able to interpret and present it in a clear and compelling manner. Specific responsibilities include:
- Assist in project management for the group and collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks
- Calendar/appointment management as well as virtual and in-person event coordination and meeting attendance.
- Coordinate and manage the monthly sales analysis newsletter, including gathering content, formatting, and distribution.
- Conduct research, pull and organize data from various sources to support the analysis functions of the team.
- Create and design PowerPoint presentations to effectively communicate findings and recommendations.
- File and maintain travel and entertainment (T&E) expense reports.
- Maintain and update records, files, and databases.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing needs and demands
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Experience with data analysis tools and software is a plus
Preferred Skills:
- Prior work in a publishing or other media-related business
- Familiarity with or strong interest in learning data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Additional Information
The salary for this position is $55,000 for those who begin on or after August 3rd. All positions are currently eligible for an annual profit award or bonus, subject to company results.
This is a hybrid position with in-office responsibilities. We will consider candidates who can work from a commutable distance to our offices at 1745 Broadway, which includes the tri-state area (NJ, CT, & PA).
