As a Business Controller at Arvato in Venlo, you will be part of the operational management team and act as a strategic sparring partner to the business. You translate financial insights into concrete actions, challenge decision-making, and help drive continuous performance improvement across the organization.

Your Tasks

As a Business Controller, you are the financial sparring partner for management and support the business with clear analyses, forecasts, and strategic advice. You translate financial data into actionable insights and help the organization make informed decisions.

Your responsibilities:

• Advise and challenge the management team based on financial and operational performance;
• Translate KPIs, financial results, and trends into concrete improvement actions;
• Identify opportunities to further improve profitability, efficiency, and customer performance;
• Develop and evaluate business cases for investments, growth initiatives, and process improvements;
• Support decision-making through scenario analyses and financial insights;
• Identify risks and improvement opportunities across the organization;
• Contribute to audits, compliance, and strong financial governance;
• Act as a business partner to Operations and other stakeholders throughout the organization.

You’ll be part of the Finance team and collaborate closely with Operations, management, and various stakeholders across the business.

Your Profile

We’re looking for a Business Controller who looks beyond the numbers and is energized by advising, challenging, and influencing the business.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Economics, Accounting, or a related field;
• Experience in controlling, financial analysis, and/or business partnering;
• Knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and financial processes;
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate financial data into clear insights and concrete actions;
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset;
• The ability to advise, challenge, and influence stakeholders at different levels of the organization;
• Strong command of the English language; Dutch is considered a plus;
• Experience with SAP is an advantage.
