Job Title: Automotive Technician 
Location: Berman KIA – Lincolnwood, IL
Pay Scale: $20.50 - $47.50/HR (Based on Experience, ASE Certifications, and/or Training)

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with diagnostic testing and troubleshooting for both mechanical and electrical issues.
• Work alongside senior technicians on more complex repairs, including engine, transmission, and suspension work.
• Perform multi-point vehicle inspections and report findings to service advisors.
• Ensure all repairs and maintenance work are performed according to KIA brand standards and procedures.
• Participate in ongoing training programs to continue advancing technical skills and obtain higher KIA certifications.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, adhering to all safety protocols and standards.
• Communicate effectively with the service team to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.

• Completed basic or introductory KIA technician certifications (or in process of completion) or ASE Certifications 
• At least 2 years of experience in an automotive repair or maintenance setting required.
• Enthusiasm for learning and hands-on technical work is essential.
• Basic understanding of automotive systems (engine, transmission, suspension, electrical, brakes). Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment is a plus.
• Ability to work in a team environment, follow instructions, and take direction from senior technicians.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, and a willingness to learn and improve problem-solving techniques.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various conditions (indoors and outdoors, sometimes in noisy environments).
