Job Description Job Title: Maintenance Assistant Department: Building Operations Reports to: Director of Building Operations FLSA Status: Non-exempt Job Summary This position is responsible for a variety of general custodial, grounds-keeping, and general maintenance tasks that assure a well-maintained building in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations. Qualifications members LEVEL OF SUPERVISION None. Physical Demands of the Job See attached Description of Physical Demands for this position. Essential Functions of the Job, Departmental Expectations 1. Performs general custodial tasks including, but not limited to, removing trash, washing windows/walls, moving furniture and supplies. Job Title: Maintenance Assistant (Job Description) Page 2 of 2 2. Performs floor care such as cleaning, buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning throughout the facility. 3. Assists with building maintenance and construction work as needed on all surfaces, interior or exterior of facility. 4. Assists with grounds maintenance, including but not limited to lawn care, snow removal. 5. Assists with general repairs to facility and guests’ equipment. 6. Completes other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Required • Excellent hospitality and interpersonal skills • Certified pool operator license of certificate or ability to obtain one • High school diploma or GED • Valid driver’s license • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English Qualifications Preferred • MN state boiler’s license, 2nd class “C” • Heat pumps, refrigeration • Previous health care setting experience preferred • Building and grounds maintenance experience • Mechanically inclined Cognitive or Mental Requirements of the Job • Reading, writing, weighing and measuring • Decision making • Contact with guests, families, public and other facility staff
