Job Description

You drive revenue from local accounts for the Courtyard Amsterdam Arena by proactively soliciting new business from small business accounts, sourcing new accounts, identifying new targets, and re-soliciting past business leads. You partner with account leaders to pull through business from customer accounts deployed outside the local market. 

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Building Successful Relationships that Generate Sales Opportunities

  • Participate in community and hotel networking events.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Manage and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Handle customer care issues as necessary.
  • Increase local penetration of high potential accounts to optimise demand and satisfy important property needs.

Managing Sales Activities

  • Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
  • Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence).
  • Conduct customer facing sales activities such as appointments, site visits, solicitation and re-solicitation calling, lunch and learns, social hours, company of the month activities, local industry events, etc
  • Qualify and maintain customer’s long-term business potential

Using Knowledge of Market Trends and Target Customer Information to Maximise Revenue

  • Identify new business to achieve personal and location revenue goals.
  • Understand the overall market - competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.

Providing Exceptional Customer Service

  • Support the company's service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
  • Service our customers in order to grow share of the account.
  • Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.

Qualifications

  • 2 years pro-active or re-active sales experience in hospitality industry or related professional area
  • Fluent command in English and Dutch – written and spoken
  • Team player, outgoing and entrepreneurial.
