Director, Growth

  • Full-time
  • Contract type: Regular

Company Description

Before TuneCore, artists needed to be signed to a record label to sell their music online. In 2006, we democratised the industry by partnering directly with digital stores and streaming platforms to enable any musician to sell their songs worldwide while retaining 100% ownership of their music. Today, TuneCore is the leading independent development partner for self-releasing artists to build audiences and careers, with technology and services across distribution, publishing administration and a range of promotional services. TuneCore is headquartered in Brooklyn, NY, and owned by Paris-based Believe, one of the world’s leading independent digital music companies. The company is one of the fastest growing companies in the music industry and is actively investing in the continued growth of the business.

We have made it our mission to best serve artists and labels at each stage of their development in the digital world. We are a company that cares deeply about our people and our creator community, advocating for diversity, equity, and inclusion across all of our platforms and throughout our business. The pursuit of innovation inspires us to work hard for our artists, while collaboration drives the way we work and approach our company’s social responsibility.

Join TuneCore as we embark on the next phase of innovation in the music industry. Be part of  the team that bridges the unmet and evolving needs of creators by building the tools and services that make their lives better.

Job Description

As TuneCore continues to evolve our product and accelerate artist global growth, we’re investing in a modern Growth organisation that helps more independent artists discover our platform, start their music careers with us, and build sustainable careers on their own terms.

As the Director, Growth, you will be a key leader within TuneCore, setting the strategic vision for our growth engine across the full customer lifecycle - from acquisition and conversion to engagement, retention, and loyalty. You’ll define and lead a holistic growth strategy that attracts emerging and high-potential artists, strengthens relationships with artists, labels, and managers, increases customer lifetime value (LTV), and scales sustainable growth across markets.

You’ll own the growth roadmap across paid media, SEO, web conversion, CRM and lifecycle initiatives, retention, and emerging channels. Working closely with agency partners and cross-functional leaders across marketing, product, creative and analytics as well as regional business leaders, you’ll identify the biggest opportunities, prioritise investment, establish clear goals and measurement, and turn strategy into measurable business outcomes.

This role sits at the center of TuneCore’s growth ecosystem, connecting acquisition, product, data, and customer experiences to shape how artists discover, evaluate, choose, engage with, and ultimately grow with TuneCore. You’ll develop programs that create meaningful, lasting relationships while improving conversion, engagement, retention, and LTV.

As a senior leader, you’ll lead a high-performing Growth organisation, developing talent, fostering a culture of accountability and experimentation, and ensuring the right capabilities are in place to deliver against our ambitions. You’ll also strategically manage agency partners, ensuring they operate as an extension of the team and deliver against clear objectives and business outcomes.

This is an opportunity for a strategic, commercially-minded growth leader who combines analytical rigor with creative thinking and can translate customer insight and data into strategy, investment decisions, and scalable execution.

Above all, you’ll help ensure TuneCore’s growth strategy advances our purpose: empowering independent artists to build sustainable careers on their own terms by helping more creators discover, choose, engage with, and grow with TuneCore.
