Job Description
At Believe, we believe that protecting people means protecting creativity. As our team expands in both size and complexity, we are launching a proactive, global and future-oriented security and risk management strategy.
We are looking for a Physical Security and Risk Management Director to lead this transformation — a trusted leader who can build a global function that protects our people, assets, studios, and events, while ensuring preparedness and resilience across all geographies.
Your Key Responsibilities
Global Security Strategy & Leadership
- Architect and implement a comprehensive global security framework covering site and assets security, VIP movement, travel security, residential safety, and artist operations.
- Develop and run Believe’s Security Risk Management Program, including threat intelligence integration, audits, and pre-trip security briefings.
- Act as Physical Security and Risk Management Director for high-profile programs, such as events, artist tours, festivals and sensitive operations in high-risk regions.
- Advise the Executive Committee on strategic security decisions.
Operational Management of Physical Security
- Lead the day-to-day security of all physical assets and teams, including offices, studios, events, and temporary accommodations.
- Propose and oversee infrastructure upgrades (access controls, CCTVs, alarm systems) as well as response protocols (lockdown procedures, safe zones, and evacuations).
- Design and implement VIP protection protocols, including secure logistics, codeword systems, and silent alert mechanisms.
- Responsible for executive protection.
Crisis Response & Emergency Readiness
- Develop and maintain emergency response playbooks.
- Coordinate cross-functional incident response across cyber, Legal, HR, and artist relations teams.
- Lead simulation exercises and create, facilitate and manage engagement with local and national authorities (e.g. police, DGSI, mayor services, etc.).
Governance, Compliance & Vendor Management
- Ensure compliance with local and global safety regulations and standards.
- Embed safety requirements into vendor, venue, and studio contracts.
- Audit and manage relationships with vendors and reception staff.
- Define and manage the global physical security budget, ensuring cost-effective deployment of protection resources, infrastructure upgrades, and service contracts.
Awareness, Culture & Talent
- Train frontline staff, artists, and local leaders in threat detection and management, trauma handling, and emergency response.
- Foster a culture of early risk identification, discreet escalation, and proactive vigilance.
- Build and grow a lean, elite security team capable of working in both stable and volatile regions.
Risk Intelligence & Security Innovation
- Monitor geopolitical threats, digital exposure, and real-world safety signals (e.g. social media indicators).
- Oversee “Digital Exposure Hygiene” for public-facing teams to prevent location leaks and social engineering risks.
- Work closely with Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) to predict hybrid threats and drive response prioritization.
- Safeguard sensitive security information by enforcing confidentiality standards and partnering with cybersecurity, communications, and legal teams.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in physical security, executive protection, and large-scale event security leadership.
- Experience in high-stakes environments and settings such as large events security, private protection firms, or military special forces.
- Proven track record of building international security programs for multi-site companies and public events, and leading crisis response.
- Demonstrated success in team leadership, budget management, contract oversight, and working across cultures.
- Strong ability to engage with executive leadership, law enforcement, and public authorities on high stakes matters.
- Familiarity with international safety regulations and ability to lead compliance audits.
- Fluent in at least French and English; additional languages appreciated for LATAM or APAC coordination.
Desirable qualifications
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP), PSP, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of fire prevention, HSE, or emergency medical coordination
- Strong project management skills; ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience in entertainment, creative, or artist-facing industries is a strong plus.
- Understanding of the cyber/physical interface (hybrid threat models, social media exposure, etc.).
