The position is responsible for working with key digital retail partners and help coordinate with our international offices on front-line marketing initiatives for our extensive new release schedule and catalog. Experience in Digital Marketing and digital retail promotion across streaming platforms and mobile is integral to the role. The position reports directly to the Global Head of Artist Services Trade Marketing, as well as the local Head of Sales for Artist Services. The Head of Trade Marketing manages the local Trade Marketing team and ensures that the global strategy for Trade Marketing is implemented. In addition, a strong focus on educating the team, plus artist Managers on best practices, strategy and the evolution of platforms.

1. Team Management: 

  • Inspire team members with data-centric, entrepreneurial, and problem-solving mindset.
    • At all times be a role model for the team and set highest standards.
    • Coach, mentor the team and build future business leaders with a hands-on approach.
  • Understand the distribution business model in its entirety and chalk out  specific OKRS for the team that is highly objective in nature.
  • Collaborate with sales & video team to ensure seamless flow of information, set up processes with measurable SLA’s , monthly reviews to analyse impact on believe market share.
  • Training of new team members, with support from E-Learning platform and Global Head.

2. Digital Retail:

  • Working with editorial heads of digital retailers to ensure they are aware of priority releases, optimizing the promotional information that is available and ensuring our releases receive strong coverage. Conduct quarterly business reviews OR Road shows with digital retailers to fill need gap.
    • Create world class white papers on each Local DSP ; Their current and future editorial strategy
  • Build a credible relationship with top management of digital retailers and be a positive influencer in the ecosystem.
    • Work closely with every local DSP ; Gauge genre movement ; Top release movement ; introduction of new genres.
    • Work on DSP backstage to identify genre wise believe market share ; Closely coordinate with Local support to extract and analyse key market information.
  • Focus on International Key Release strategy, with a clear objective of breaking acts internationally in multiple markets. 
    • Map international markets , Indian diaspora , top local stores in top 20 countries , curate content for Indian diaspora , engage with editorial teams directly or respective TMM in that region.
  • Collaborating on the conception, development and rollout of new marketing and promotion services for artists. 
    • Create world class white papers on each Local DSP ; Their current and future editorial strategy
  • Work with the artist Management team to ensure we are able to work as early as possible on key projects, building innovative and engaging marketing campaigns.

3. Internal Process:

  • Work closely with Global Head of Trade Marketing to ensure Trade Marketing strategy is adhered to on a local level, with a strong attention to internal processes.
  • Set up regular weekly calls with Sales & Video team to identify key releases and how to build robust processes and drive value.
  • Set one on one meetings with Head of Label Distribution OR Head of Sales  strategy meetings on key releases.

 4. Strategy :

  • Recommend long term strategy to local Head of Sales on content genre acquisition , local DSP consumption patterns , introduce newer forms of marketing front line releases.
  • Network with industry experts to identify best practices on content marketing and adapt to believe ecosystem.
  • Drive strategy to globalise believe front line releases of artists & labels with the help of believes international presence.
