TuneCore’s Artists & Partner Relations team works with the music community and overall industry to provide best in class distribution, education, and opportunity to music creators across the spectrum including independent artists, labels, songwriters, managers, publishers, and social media stars. 

 

Reporting to the Director of Artist & Partner Relations, the YouTube Partner Manager will manage TuneCore’s global strategy to identify and maximize opportunities and accelerate growth across all music-related verticals on the platform

 

An ideal candidate brings a thorough understanding of YouTube's data tools and relevant programming verticals and can identify potential music or creator opportunities to develop and optimize TuneCore artists’ full potential. They will work directly with YouTube to explore and secure opportunities for TuneCore’s artists and creators.

 

They’ll cultivate relationships to ensure TuneCore’s artists and creators can take full advantage of YouTube's suite of offerings. They possess strong relationship-building skills to best represent our artists, and TuneCore core values.

 

The ideal candidate is also personable, passionate, proactive, hands-on, accountable and takes great pride in their work. They are willing to experiment, take risks and move quickly to acquire and retain clients. They must have strong written and verbal communication skills, an entrepreneurial spirit, a deep interest in technology and strong cross-team collaboration skills. Additionally, they have strong relationship-building skills with an ability to both lead and roll up their sleeves to get the job done.

                                                                 

Job Description

Responsibilities: 

What you’ll do:

●        Serve as the main day-to-day point of contact for YouTube’s Content, Editorial and Trade Marketing teams

●      Analyze content metrics, define platform strategies and areas of focus, to drive content performance

●        Identify focus verticals to maximize content optimization.

●      Work with key stakeholders across the organization to identify, propose, implement, and execute scalable partner opportunities, product optimizations, service offerings and initiatives that drive TuneCore’s mission.

●      Meet department KPI and OKR goals.

●      Share insights and feedback internally to help build content metrics and infrastructure tools.

●      Initiate and maintain relations with artists, creators, and their teams.

●      Represent TuneCore to the music community by attending conferences, events, and showcases, partnering with the Brand Marketing team to maximize reach and engagement.

●      Participate in panels representing TuneCore following corporate communication guidelines.

●      Regularly report to internal teams on challenges, questions and opportunities across Artist and Partner Relations, Artist Support, Branding, Marketing, and Partnerships.

●      Engage with music communities both on and off-line while regularly detailing the benefits of TuneCore’s service.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring:

●        5 years of relevant business experience in music, with       expertise in YouTube Studio CMS and YouTube Analytics

●        Passionate about music, technology, and digital marketing

●        Highly motivated attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, as well as solve problems creatively and quickly.

●        Priority-driven, energetic attitude and desire to work in a results-oriented and deadline-driven environment.

●        A data-driven, strategic mindset with experience using both YouTube’s CMS and the Microsoft Office Suite to analyze data, follow trends and seek opportunities. 

●        Social Media experience is a plus

●        Understanding of technological concepts and financial models.

●        Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and work under shifting deadlines.

●        Team player mindset and comfortable working cross-functionally.

●        Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

●        Have strong contacts in the music industry.

●        Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite, G-Suite, Slack

●        BA/BS Degree (Business, Marketing, Communication or any other related)

●        Expert in YouTube Studio CMS and YouTube Analytics

●        Strong knowledge of digital distribution – marketplace options, opportunities, best practices

●        YouTube Certification
