Bedruthan is a multi-award winning hotel and spa set into a cliff above Mawgan Porth beach on the North Cornwall coast.

Our hotel has been cherished and nurtured by two generations of the same family for over 50 years to give our guests memorable holidays in this uniquely beautiful place.

Bedruthan is set in a natural playground with the beach just below us and some amazing facilities at the hotel itself. You can stroll along the foreshore, get a surf lesson or two and walk the cliff path to Bedruthan Steps – one of the north coast’s most dramatic beauty spots.

Red Hotels are the owners of Bedruthan and The Scarlet. The two hotels are on the same hillside in the coastal village of Mawgan Porth, Cornwall. We are not just simple hotels, each of our properties has a distinctive identity and does something far from the norm.

We are looking for an agile, motivated self-starter to join our wonderful Super Host team. Knowing where to be at the right moment in the business to provide dynamic support to all operations, our Super Hosts are a visible presence and have the desire to exceed expectations when delivering services to our guests. From warmly greeting our guests at Reception, to waiting tables in our Restaurants, to arranging treatments in our Spas, this is a varied and intricate role where attention to detail is of great importance and where no two days are the same.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, versatile person with the ability to self-manage their own time and workload throughout the day who can jump right into where they need to be with great confidence.

What will you be doing?

  • Supporting all operational departments throughout the hotels
  • Creating a nurturing environment where people want to be
  • Being a visible and proactive presence around the business
  • Delivering a genuine and caring service for our guests to enhance the experience of their stay
  • Working to achieve a high standard of service in each area of the hotels
  • Interacting with guests regularly, from welcoming them at our doors to supporting them throughout their stay

Qualifications

Is this you?

  • At least two years’ experience in guest facing/customer service
  • Experience in at least two areas of hotel operations
  • Sound oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent literacy, numeracy and IT skills
  • Proven organisational skills
  • The ability to take responsibility
  • The ability to self-direct workload and time management
