Job Description

The role:

The Brand and Marketing Manager maternity cover will oversee all marketing activities of the Company ensuring the marketing team effectively fulfils the marketing strategy and plan in place. You will maximise return on investment by creating, implementing and measuring a comprehensive marketing and communications programme that will enhance the hotels and sub brands image and position within the marketplace.

What you’ll do (but not limited to):

  • Working closely with the Head of Commercial to implement and measure the marketing plan activity that has been developed to enhance the brands image and position within the marketplace and deliver on the commercial objectives set
  • Managing and project lead the brand and marketing strategy for the hotels and sub brands, as well as any new initiatives
  • Plan marketing and content strategies. Directing and evaluating them physically, conceptually, operationally and financially
  • Work within established departmental budgets
  • Responsible for direction, delivery and distribution of all organisation brand assets
  • Overseeing implementation of the marketing strategy - including campaigns, events and digital marketing to deliver on the objectives set
  • Guiding the day to day activities of the marketing team, in line with the marketing plan and budget
  • Ensuring that the marketing objectives are implemented by the marketing team in a timely manner
  • Management of the brands website development to increase traffic, direct business conversion and usability
  • Working with our digital agency to implement effective PCC campaigns to drive booking conversion, when required
  • Understand and use Google analytics to review business performance and adjust marketing activity accordingly
  • Work with third party agencies to ensure all software and systems are performing and developed in line with the marketing plan
  • Supporting the CRM and Email Marketing Specialist to develop the CRM strategy and email marketing campaigns and automation processes within all business areas 
  • Responsible for developing and delivering retail, events and sales strategies which enhance ancillary sales 
  • Spearheads the development of partnership strategy which enhances the brand 
  • Ensure all tactical and strategic marketing spend generates effective revenue 
  • Direct social media strategy to improve brand reputation, reach and engagement
  • Undertake continuous analysis of the competitive environment and consumer trends
  • Responsible for the direction and leadership of all content, PR, editorial and images 
  • Continue to develop the direct booking strategy to reduce the cost and increase hotel profitability
  • Creation and publication of all marketing materials in line with marketing plans.
  • Planning and implementing all promotional campaigns
  • Making sure the brand guidelines are adhered to in all marketing activities across the company
  • Direct all creative production, working closely with the graphic designer to plan, prioritise and deliver assets on time and on brand
  • Manages team ensuring high levels of creativity proficiency and delivery of key performance indicators 
  • Uphold and enforce policies and procedures that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the company.

Qualifications

About you:

Minimum requirements: At least 5 years’ experience in a senior-level marketing position and relevant marketing qualifications.

Proven track record in:

  • Creating and delivering a high profile brands 
  • In-depth social media knowledge and experience 
  • Project management 
  • Experience in hospitality, retail or food and beverage 
  • Communication media and reporting 
  • Team building 
  • Business case development 
  • Managing complex budgets
  • Experience in CRM and website projects
  • High level of commitment, energy and vision for advancement of the business 
  • Ability to work well and handle change and growth within a dynamic management structure
  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills, secondary European language an advantage
  • On-line marketing experience
