Job Description

The role of creative and gallery manager is about giving exceptional customer service and increasing revenue You and your team will be responsible for all things creative. You will have a love for art and adult learning through our craft workshops, art tours and events. The retail product you curate will sit alongside our brand ethos and include locally sourced and sustainable products including many varied elements and homemade hotel products.

The relationship you nurture with local artists will provide us with strong art sales and support our desire to be seen as more than just a hotel. We want to be recognised for supporting new artists as well as those we have long standing partnerships with. You will be passionate in this area and be confident to guide our guests around the hotels bringing the art alive and sharing knowledge about the artist who created it.

Responsibilities:                             

  • Develop long term strategies in the following areas: Creative, showcasing art, crafting workshops and breaks, expanding our products/sales online and in store
  • Devise a product range that complements our brand for our clients, guests and customers
  • Develop a partnership programme that enables us to establish long term relationships and support our commercial commitments
  • Be responsible for the delivery of craft events and engage with our operations team to ensure all elements of the day are successfully delivered.
  • Ensure that administrative requirements including Art and Stock inventory is completed and actions taken to resolve any discrepancies
  • Management of all retail products and display across the hotels including retail pricing
  • Be flexible and dynamic to support Red Hotels Senior and Management teams

Qualifications

  • Two years’ experience in a retail environment 
  • A strong knowledge of procurement / stock management systems and Microsoft office
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Experience/solid understanding in the crafting/adult learning market
  • Demonstrated literacy, numeracy, and attention to detail
  • Proven organisational and administrative skills
