Bedruthan is a multi-award winning hotel and spa set into a cliff above Mawgan Porth beach on the North Cornwall coast.

Our hotel has been cherished and nurtured by two generations of the same family for over 50 years to give our guests memorable holidays in this uniquely beautiful place.

Bedruthan is set in a natural playground with the beach just below us and some amazing facilities at the hotel itself. You can stroll along the foreshore, get a surf lesson or two and walk the cliff path to Bedruthan Steps – one of the north coast’s most dramatic beauty spots.

Our Property Team provide planned and re-active maintenance necessary to preserve our reputation for the comfort and safety of our guests and staff across both hotels.

We currently have a number of projects underway at the Bedruthan and Scarlet and are seeking a skilled Tiler to join the team.

Key responsibilities:

• Inspecting and interpreting plans
• Laying out work while measuring and marking surfaces
• Preparing work areas on floors and walls by removing old tiles, adhesive and grout; filling gaps, crack and holes; and ensuring all surfaces are clean
• Making tiles lie flush with corners, edges, pipes and fittings using tile-cutting tools

As the role requires you to interact with our guests and staff, you must be able to communicate effectively in spoken and written English. You need to be able to follow instructions, prioritise effectively and complete tasks to a high standard. 

• Experienced in all types of tiles
• Mathematics and measurement skills
• Strong manual skills, accuracy, precision and attention to detail
• An eye for design
• A ‘can do’ and ‘willing to learn’ attitude and a good sense of humour are essential as well as being a brilliant team player
• You will need an awareness of, and a good attitude towards, health & safety
