Bedruthan is set in a natural playground with the beach just below us and some amazing facilities at the hotel itself. You can stroll along the foreshore, get a surf lesson or two and walk the cliff path to Bedruthan Steps – one of the north coast’s most dramatic beauty spots.

Job Description

Here at Red Hotels, we are looking to recruit a HR Business Partner to ensure a seamless delivery of our people commitments whilst ensuring Red Hotels delivers a consistent, fair and dynamic approach to all of our teams. Creating a place people want to come to work due to being recognised as a business that provides opportunities for all.  

Working with your team you will provide an internal service which is supportive and really understands the commitment required from both parties. We want this role to be visible and respected within our hotels across all departments whilst nurturing and supporting our management teams to develop people, culture and service levels/skills.

Responsibilities:                             

  • The production of people related reporting which supports your vision for people and provides the Senior Leadership Team and Directors with the intelligence/statistics to support recommendations and development needs.
  • Deliver advice for our management teams which provides best and legal practice and ultimately grows their skill base in this area.
  • Ensure our recruitment, onboarding, probation and leavers processes are timely, robust and reviewed to ensure relevance and best in class. You will ensure all administrative tasks are completed.
  • You will take a fresh approach to learning ensuring training and development is available and appropriate to our seasonality. This will provide clear results in improving our guest experience and net promoter scores.
  • Take an active role in our cost lines and work with the relevant teams to improve and understand these results. You will adapt your teams’ approach to support our business challenges which ultimately supports our year-round sustainability as an employer.
  • Relaunch our own casual workforce population and system to support.
  • Support the Head of Commercial with the sourcing of a new HR and payroll system in 2021.
  • Ensure all legislative reporting, submissions and updates are actioned and communicated.
  • Be flexible and dynamic to support Red Hotels Senior and Management teams.
  • Promote agile working within your direct reports.

Qualifications

  • CIPD certification in HR or equivalent Level 5 HR qualification
  • 2 years’ plus experience working in a Senior HR role in a well-run organisation   
  • Sound oral and written communication skills
  • Impeccable standard of professional discretion
  • Friendly, credible yet assertive manner
  • Demonstrate an ability to navigate UK employment law and advise on risk
  • Ability to take responsibility of own workload and of department providing first class organisation and efficiency
  • Ability to manage at multiple levels
  • Positive outlook and attitude

Please note: Due to current lock down measures, the start date for this position will be confirmed when restrictions start to ease through the UK. 

Additional Information

We offer:

  • £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Permanent contract of 40 hours per week.
  • Career progression opportunities.
  • 28 days holiday per year / 29 after 1 year.
