Bear Mattress is an e-commerce company that helps active people sleep better, recover faster and improve athletic performance through its line of mattresses, pillows and accessories, which are delivered direct-to-consumers.

The namesake Bear Mattress is the first product available from the brand, which launched in 2014. The mattress is engineered with clinically-proven technology that provides optimal cooling, comfort, and muscle recovery for athletes and those living an active lifestyle. Bear Mattress has quickly become the mattress of choice for professional athletes, weekend warriors and casual fitness lovers alike.

We are looking for a digital-savvy Digital Graphic Designer that will help drive content creation, digital marketing and front-end website design efforts. As the first in-house creative at Bear Mattress, you will have a large impact on continuing and strengthening our brand identity.

This role will focus primarily on: creative development for email marketing, Facebook and Google ad campaigns, brand marketing, and design for landing pages and/or front end UX. You will also work collaboratively with our outside creative agency.

• Design banner ads (interactive/static/animated), HTML emails, social posts & print media across all channels.
• Execute concept, design and layouts for conversion optimized landing pages and mobile / desktop user flows.
• Assist in the planning, execution and post-production of in-house photo shoots.
• Independently and consistently execute original, on-brand collateral from concept through to completion in a timely manner.
• Communicate creative ideas and design direction in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders.
• Work under tight deadlines and respond positively to feedback (we need a team player!).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.

You are creative and have the technical abilities to execute and deliver a high-quality digital product

• 3-5 years industry experience in digital graphic design ideally at an agency, ecommerce or consumer goods company
• Current portfolio of self-created work
• Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Lightroom, Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Excellent typography and layout skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Experience with GIFs and video editing a plus
• Familiarity with HTML & HTML5/CSS preferred
