We are looking for a Data Science & AI Program Manager (m/f/d) for our department “Group IT” in Munich as soon as possible.

• Develop and be responsible for BayWa's AI Center of Excellence, directly reporting to BayWa AG's CIO
• Kick-start and manage data science and AI projects to solve concrete business problems by creating prototypes and transforming them into productive solutions
• Organize ideation workshops to collect and prioritize ideas
• Use machine learning, data mining, and statistics to bring these ideas to reality
• Shape the future of BayWa's AI infrastructure, including suitable frameworks and tools that facilitate development and maintenance of AI solutions
• Identify and select AI development service providers to quickly get traction on AI projects
• Collect, enrich, and clean available data from various sources

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or related desirable
• Strong experience in successfully implementing data science and AI projects and willingness to make the step towards a multi-project management role
• Strong motivation for building AI solutions
• Experience in statistical computer languages (R, Python) and in creating and using classical machine learning and deep learning algorithms
• Deep knowledge of the main machine learning frameworks (scikit-learn, Tensorflow, Keras, etc.) and with cloud-based computing (Azure, Google Cloud, etc.)
• Knowledge of main data infrastructure and databases (e.g. SQL, MongoDB, Spark, etc.)
• Excellent communication skills and a team player
• Excellent skills in German and English
