Job Description
The Team Lead Assembly is primarily responsible for training and supervising the pharmaceutical packaing machine assembly team. Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work environment. Completing work in a timely manner and performing tasks with emphasis on safety. Working collaboratively with Manufacturing, Quality, and other functional experts to support all daily operational activities. Consulting with management to resolve quality, production, and efficiency problems. Functioning in conjunction with manager and functional experts on special department projects. Working with the internal department to ensure implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the daily processes.
Job summary / daily tasks:
- Provide direction, supervision, and guidance to the assembly team and reports to the department lead.
- Track and manage the schedule for the assembly department, including due dates and workload.
- Create an assembly manual for standard machines.
- Train a team of new employees and apprentices in the assembly department.
- Create and follow SOPs, policies, and ISO/QSR inventory requirements.
- Ensure document quality in case of technical adaptions and communicate with our headquarters.
- Manage assembly inventory levels.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in the assembly of pharmaceutical packaging machines
- Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes and technologies
- Labor estimating abilities
- Familiar with the metric system (all prints, machines, and tools are in metric, no conversion is necessary)
- Able to interpret technical prints
- Advanced computer skills are a plus
- Experience with an ERP system is a plus

- Being highly dependable with an excellent attendance record is required
- Ability to follow instructions precisely, recognize deviation, and recommend corrective action
- Detail-oriented
Education and/or Experience:
- High School Graduate or GED. Preferably from a vocational technical high school, completion of an apprenticeship program, or community college/technical school training program.
- 5+ years of experience in supervisory experience in pharmaceutical packaging machinery, medical devices, quality/regulatory compliance, or another regulated product environment.
Additional Information
Position Type: This is a full-time, non-exempt position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 pm and 12:30 pm to 3:30 p.m. Overtime may be required, as needed.
