Bates & Bradshaw are working in partnership with Wren Kitchens who are based in South Yorkshire, North East Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire who are the No 1 Retail Kitchen Specialist in the UK who manufacture bespoke products across the UK. Critical purpose of role:
To maintain and develop the HSE internal standards and to control HSE practices throughout the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide managers and employees with information on legislative compliance, advising on ways of meeting statutory requirements and inhouse HS&E Policies & Practices as directed by the Site HSE Manager.
- To provide mentorship and stability to the HSE Department.
- Ensure that persons under their control are competent, and understand the contribution they can make to the department.
- To ensure that risk assessments/safe systems of work requirements are met.
- Proactively work with other areas of the business to develop SHE culture.
- Conduct daily meeting, monthly safety audits and behavioural observations.
- Ensuring operational activities on site are carried out safely and legally
- Challenging unsafe behaviours and recognising areas of improvement
- Annual appraisals
- KPI reporting
Must Have Skills & Knowledge:
- A proven track record of delivering and maintaining Health, Safety & Environmental Management Systems.
- An ability to develop and adapt strategies to encourage performance.
- To provide H&S management reports to agreed deadlines.
- Accident Investigation
- Ability to problem solve without supervision.
- NEBOSH General certificate or working towards
- Driving Licence
- Must be familiar and capable of working within a high demand, ever changing environment.
- Excellent organisational skills.
Desired Skills & Knowledge:
- Environmental (NEBOSH) Cert (or other Environmental Qualification Considered)
- Machinery Knowledge (would be an advantage)
- Knowledge of Environmental A2 Permitting
- Solvent Management Plan Knowledge
- Chemical Training.
