Job Description

As a no-code AI company, they believe that making data science incredibly effortless for everyday business users, represents the greatest opportunity in our lifetime. That is why they are looking for a skilled Sales Engineer to join their team.

If you are able to act with empathy and clearly explain complex ML solutions to people with little or no experience, they would like to meet you. You will be responsible for helping sell into new prospects as well as helping existing customers to ensure high renewal and customer satisfaction levels. You’ll work closely with their Head of Sales to build systems and processes to educate prospects and their customers to increase new revenue. Your knowledge of APIs and how to implement them will be highly valuable. You will also onboard new customers to help them revolutionize the way they conduct business.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Account Executives to identify, qualify and pursue new revenue opportunities from new and existing customers
  • Create relationships with and serve as trusted advisor to a prospect or customer’s technical teams by helping with data preparation, model building, model management, and model consumption.
  • Allow prospects to understand and evaluate Obviously AI’s capabilities within the context of their own data, technical requirements, team workflows, and business process needs
  • Assist with over-seeing proof-of-concept and pre-sales projects as needed
  • Successfully match customer pain points and requirements to proposed solutions
  • Provide insight and instruction for our customers to be quickly onboarded and understand how to realize value
  • Create Custom reporting and integrations via our API (Python and Javascript SDKs available)
  • Develop processes and workflows that allow us to build and scale a best-in-class Sales Engineering organization
  • Champion Obviously’s cultural principles (Speed, Grit, Creativity) with every interaction as we scale

Qualifications

  • A passion to serve the customer, which has played out in some customer-facing presales role, ideally sales engineering
  • An ability to demo to win and quickly communicate complex ideas around a business case
  • 3+ years of customer facing experience as an Mid Market level Sales Engineer or Solutions Architect in a SaaS environment, ideally AI or ML
  • Execution-oriented initiative and with the ability to drive decisions to customer satisfaction
  • Passion for technology and a love for working in a fast-paced start-up environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and strong presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
