For more than 50 years Barton & Loguidice, D.P.C., has served the engineering needs of municipal, industrial and institutional clients across the northeast. We are a multi-disciplined firm of professional engineers, environmental scientists, planners and landscape architects with offices in Syracuse, Albany, Rochester, Newburgh, and Watertown, NY, Camp Hill, PA and Lanham, MD. B&L specializes in transportation engineering, water supply, wastewater management, solid waste management, land planning and site design, and environmental and facilities engineering. We are looking for bright, motivated candidates to join one of the leading consulting engineering firms in the northeast.

We are currently seeking an experienced seller-doer electrical engineer to help lead the growth of our electrical engineering and facilities discipline in Maryland and the Mid-Atlantic states. This is a full-time position in our Lanham, Maryland office.

Duties primarily include providing electrical engineering services related to distributed energy generation projects, industrial processes, HVAC and controls, and electric utility interconnects. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

- Business development.

- Project management, preparation/review of plans and specifications, and client communications for electrical engineering assignments and projects.

- Working with other project team members including architects and structural, mechanical and civil engineers to allow for effective, integrated, and well-coordinated project design solutions. 

- Project coordination with technical quality control and oversight with regard to most if not all of the types of electrical engineering services and capabilities listed below:

• Preparation of design plans, calculations, details and public bidding documents.

• Distributed power generation systems.

• Microgrids and electrical systems analysis.

• Low and medium voltage substations and distribution systems.

• Sub-transmission overhead line design.

• Building electrical, lighting and distribution systems.

• Communication, security, and fire alarm systems.

• Controls, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.

• Emergency generator systems.

• Constructability reviews.

• Construction administration and inspection.

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a minimum of 10 years of consulting experience in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Maryland is required. Experience with power system modeling software (SKM) is a plus. A seller-doer with experience with clients in Maryland and other Mid-Atlantic states is preferred.
