We are currently seeking a Civil Engineer to serve in a Senior Managing Engineer role in our Albany office.  This position is located within our Sustainable Planning & Design Group.

The position will focus on providing engineering services to our growing municipal client base. Responsibilities will include plan reviews, study preparation, design calculations, production of specifications and design drawings, management of construction projects for compliance with design documents, marketing and client representation.  Preparation for and attendance at client municipal meetings (usually in the evening) will be required. This role will also require management of a team of engineers, planners and landscape architects.

Candidates should have a B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering with at least 15+ years of experience in municipal engineering, potable water systems, wastewater collection and treatment systems, and storm drainage systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated team management success is a must.

Candidates should be proficient in technical writing and communication skills, be able to interact effectively with staff and clients, and have experience in the preparation and presentation of proposals. Candidates will be responsible for managing and/or providing technical assistance to continually advance projects within scope, budget and schedule for all phases of municipal projects.
