Job Description

We are currently seeking a Electrical Engineer to join our Albany, NY office. This position offers excellent career growth and advancement potential for the selected individual.

The ideal candidate will have a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 8+ years of diverse consulting engineering experience on municipal, commercial, private and industrial facilities projects. Candidates should possess acute analytical skills, the capability to design and manage small to large projects, and a comprehensive technical background across all facets of mechanical and/or electrical engineering, including industrial process, HVAC, controls, and plumbing and fire protection.

This position will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to develop and manage dynamic, challenging projects that incorporate innovative and unique goals and objectives, well beyond the scope of typical mechanical consulting engineering projects. Projects often involve correspondence and coordination with international global companies. 

Qualifications

Excellent communication and writing skills are essential to accomplish synergistic interaction with both technical clients and co-workers/staff. Software capabilities must include Microsoft Office platform, AutoCAD, Revit and HVAC design/energy analysis software (e.g. Carrier HAP). Technical capabilities must include a strong working knowledge in the application of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, mechanical power systems, electrical power distribution and digital control systems. Additionally, a broad familiarity with the work of other project team members, including architects and structural, electrical and civil engineers is desired to allow for effective, integrated and well-coordinated project design solutions.

Additional industry certifications, including Certified Energy Manager or LEED AP, are considered a plus. Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in NY, PA or MD (or eligibility to obtain) is desired.
