Job Description

We are currently seeking an Environmental Field Technician to join our Environmental Group in our Albany, NY office.

Primary duties include:

- Remediation system operation, maintenance, and monitoring; 

- Soil, groundwater, and soil vapor sample collection

In addition, training will be provided to perform construction oversight during the subcontractor installation, maintenance and/or repair of remediation systems, as well as the removal and excavation of underground storage tanks and contaminated soil.  Other duties include field documentation, pump test data collection, report writing, construction administration, and general assistance with environmental compliance, investigation, and remedial projects. Candidates with OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification are desirable.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess, at a minimum, an Associate Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering Science, or equivalent, with working knowledge of environmental sampling and operation and maintenance of remedial systems. Two to four years of operations and maintenance experience is desirable. Candidates should be capable of working independently in the field and be adept in troubleshooting mechanical equipment and electrical controls for remediation treatment systems. Candidates should be experienced in soil, groundwater, and soil vapor sampling, be willing to work outdoors in all types of weather, and have the availability to be assigned to occasional extended field assignments.
