Fouquet's Mykonos is seeking a Head Housekeeper.

Located on the shores of Paraga Beach, Fouquet’s Mykonos is the Barrière Group’s first venture in Greece. Blending Cycladic art, Mediterranean horizons and French refinement, this exceptional retreat harmonizes with its natural surroundings to offer 61 suites, 3 private villas, panoramic terraces, and pools. Complete with a rock-carved spa, the ROKA restaurant, and direct beach access, it delivers an intimate yet spectacular Mediterranean experience. 

Your role is to ensure the absolute cleanliness, hygiene, and aesthetic perfection of our rooms, suites, villas, and public areas. You will lead and inspire the housekeeping team to maintain the highest luxury standards, ensuring our guests experience flawless comfort.

To be successful in this role, you should be detail-oriented, a natural leader, and efficient enough to handle demanding situations during the peak season. You should have excellent knowledge about luxury hospitality standards and local health and hygiene regulations.

Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Housekeeping Excellence & Quality Compliance

  • Luxury Standards: Guarantee the flawless cleanliness, presentation, and upkeep of all 61 suites, 3 private villas, and public spaces, in strict alignment with Fouquet's and Barrière Group luxury standards.

  • Hygiene & Safety: Ensure strict compliance with Greek health and safety regulations, including local sanitization protocols and international standards.

  • Room Inspections: Conduct rigorous daily inspections of departing, arriving, and occupied rooms, as well as public and back-of-house areas.

  • Linen & Uniform Management: Oversee the management, storage, and inventory of premium linen, guest amenities, uniforms, and cleaning supplies.

Operational & Team Leadership

  • Talent Development: Recruit, train, schedule, and manage the housekeeping and laundry teams. Conduct annual appraisals and foster career development within the department.

  • Daily Operations: Optimize daily room assignments and coordinate efficiently with the Front Office and Guest Relations teams to manage turn-around times and guest special requests.

  • Technical Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison with the Maintenance Department to report, track, and follow up on required room repairs and preventive maintenance.

Administrative Oversight

  • Stock & Purchasing: Manage inventories and order supplies in adherence to the Group’s purchasing policy, ensuring optimal stock levels for business continuity throughout the high season.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Significant experience as a Head Housekeeper or Assistant Head Housekeeper in the luxury hospitality sector (5-star hotels or luxury resorts), ideally with experience managing beachfront or resort properties.

  • Deep understanding of high-end fabrics, materials, and specialized cleaning techniques suited for a Mediterranean beach environment (handling sand, humidity, and wind).

  • Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to motivate, train, and manage a multicultural team under high-pressure, high-occupancy conditions.

  • Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Greek is highly essential for interacting with local staff and suppliers.
