Overview

Our re-engineering consultancy team is seeking to hire a Supply Chain & Procurement Manager. Candidate will be responsible for purchasing goods or services from wholesale distributors, manufacturers or other product or service providers. Candidate will also analyze and manage business data. You will optimize the SCM functions, reporting performance to operational stakeholders and work with vendors to ensure return and disposition actions are met timely and accurately according to contractual terms. This position will work closely with external vendors as well as internal operations groups to ensure the SCM process is seamless, efficient and leads to reduced inventory cost, significantly reducing waste in the value chain.

Job Description

 

Key Deliverables

  • Conduct periodic market surveys and product performance reviews.
  • Determine the organizations need by participating in the development of specifications, studying sales record, inventory levels, replenishment cycles and product lead time, assessing supply-side market conditions.
  • Manage all logistics operations (in-bound and out-bound) including all logistics assets in order to ensure efficient, timely, cost-effective delivery of products.
  • Re-engineering of the Supply Chain Process-Process Writing, Policy Implementation, and New Process flow development.
  •  Work with freighters and clearing agents, cost and price analysis for services, etc.
  • Coordinate and/or compliment work efforts of your reporting line and others to ensure integration and completion of work against expectations.
  • Evaluate and ensure that vendor performance meets or exceeds defined performance standards and adheres to overall company policies and procedures.
  •  Warehouse management. Carry out periodic counts, coordinate and manage records of debit and credit to store, etc.
  • Act as a liaison between the Company and vendors.
  • Manage vendor contracts and compliance.
  •  Interprets contract provisions and review of contracts to evaluate overall revisions, price, and past performance of each vendor prior to bid or renewal.
  •  Organizes updates and retains product information files and purchase order records.
  • Receiving goods and other supplies (imported and local goods)
  • Office supplies and stationery Management.
  • Generate bi-weekly reports on Admin activities.
  • Review reports on each vendor, product and service.

     

      Qualifications

      Minimum Qualifications / Experience

      • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management or related field.
      • Minimum of 5 years Post-NYSC experience in a similar role.
      • Certification in supply chain management would be an added advantage.

      Knowledge/Skills

      • Great customer relation and negotiation skills.
      • Good knowledge of Nigerian shipping laws and custom processes.
      • Good knowledge and experience in Project Management to ensure successful delivery (on time, within budget, meeting agreed upon success criteria) to establish clear goals.
      • Familiarity in working with Ariba sourcing and Navision is a plus
      • Proficient Microsoft Office Skills.
      • Proficient reporting skills.
