Job Description
We are currently seeking a qualified Material Management Specialist to join our Mining team, based in of Bethune, SK (Regina area). Bantrel is working with K+S Potash Canada (K+S) as an Integrated Project Management Team (IPMT) to expand production at K+S’s Bethune solution potash mine near Moose Jaw and Regina, Saskatchewan. The final production capacity is intended to grow over the next decades to 4M tonnes per year, doubling the current production output of potash. Key team members will support the project from the K+S head office in Saskatoon and at Bethune mine, with additional support from Calgary, Edmonton, and Toronto as required.
Site based roles: This position is based in Bethune, SK. The shift is 9 days on and 5 days off, 10-hour days. While the preference is to hire a candidate who resides locally, relocation assistance may be available based on eligibility.

The Materials Management Specialist supports the planning, control, and tracking of engineering and construction materials across project jobsites and off‑site fabrication facilities. This role ensures materials are available to meet execution requirements and administers the SiteSense materials management system to maintain data integrity and alignment across engineering, procurement, logistics, and site teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and validate engineering, bulk material, and tagged equipment data across materials systems
- Maintain accurate fabrication, vendor, and third‑party material records aligned with engineering deliverables
- Ensure material requisitions meet project standards and support planning, allocation, and tracking
- Develop and maintain material plans aligned with project schedules and site needs
- Coordinate bulk material distribution to fabrication facilities and job sites
- Perform quantity analysis and support material status, site readiness, and compliance reporting
- Collaborate with Expediting, Logistics, and Site teams to track shipments and resolve issues
- Administer and continuously improve SiteSense, including user access, data standards, training, and adoption
- Reconcile SiteSense data with SAP Purchase Orders and support material traceability
- Serve as the primary point of contact for SiteSense user support and system issues
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of EPC experience in Materials Management within engineering and construction environments.
- Post‑secondary education in Business, Engineering, or Construction Management is considered an asset.
- Proven experience supporting projects of varying size and complexity across office and site environments.
- Strong working knowledge of SiteSense or similar digital materials management systems (highly preferred).
- Experience in system administration, data governance, or digital materials tracking platforms is an asset.
- Proficiency in Expediting and experience with one or more Procurement functions.
- Solid understanding of commercial management, project planning, and scheduling principles.
- Familiarity with Engineering, Construction, Quality procedures and workflows.
- Strong systems mindset with the ability to integrate operational workflows with digital tools.
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on data accuracy, integrity, and traceability.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced project environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across internal teams, vendors, and contractors.
- Demonstrated ability to support training, onboarding, and user adoption of digital systems.
- Collaborative and team‑oriented, with the ability to influence consistent process and system adoption.
- High ethical standards, professional integrity, and emotional intelligence.
