Job Description
As Agile Project Manager, you will join Balsam Brands' talented and growing Project Management Team. You will oversee medium-to-large company projects to ensure on-time, quality releases through Agile methodology and refining processes. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, proactive, and has a proven ability to adapt well and work with different teams within organizations.
A successful candidate will come with a passion for process and should be exceptional at project management and problem solving. S/he is a confident leader who is interested in tackling the challenges of a growing eCommerce company, enjoys working with cross-functional teams, and is passionate about cultivating his/her project management skills.
This full-time position reports to the Sr. Agile Project Manager and can work remote from any U.S. state where Balsam Brands is currently setup as an employer, which includes: CA, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, MD, MA, MO, NJ, NC, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, VA, and WA. This role can also work locally in our Redwood City, CA or Boise, ID office location. Our local teams work in a hybrid model, which currently includes Tuesday and Wednesday in-office.
To ensure sufficient overlap with functional and cross-functional team members globally, some flexibility with this role's regular work schedule will be required. Most of our teams have overlap with early morning and/or early evening PST. Specific scheduling needs for this role will be discussed in the initial interview.
What you’ll do:
- Apply Scrum/Agile project management practices to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans
- Manage the project life cycle and work with cross-functional partners to oversee all phases of project completion
- Track the day-to-day progress of project activity
- Monitor and report project progress to all stakeholders
- Schedule and facilitate Scrum events and other project meetings to drive progress and resolve roadblocks
- Track, manage, and close issues
- Create high-level, detailed schedules and timelines to ensure on-time product releases
- Build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams to get alignment on common business/end-customer/release goals
- Make recommendations for improvements on existing processes
- Work and communicate with key Business Stakeholders, Business Analysts, the Project Management team, and Executive Sponsors
- Facilitate vendor selection process and act as communication point person for external vendors when needed
What you bring to the table:
- Minimum of 4 years of project management experience
- Minimum of 6 years of experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams; preferably in an eCommerce setting
- Bachelor's degree highly preferred
- At least one year experience using Scrum and/or Agile project management methodology
- Scrum Master certification preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail
- Proven ability to lead all Scrum activities and implement Agile best practices
- Proficiency with JIRA or other issue management software a plus
- Experience in any part of the software development life cycle is a plus - as developer, tester, analyst, product manager, or project/program manager
- Experience using Agile project management tools
Travel for remote team members: At Balsam Brands, we believe that time spent together, in-person, collaborating and building relationships is important to who we are. For our newest remote Brandits, we will arrange travel to one of our local offices within your first three months of employment so you can meet and train with your new team in-person. You may also get to travel an additional 1 – 2 times a year for events such as team retreats, offsites, or learning and development opportunities.

The base pay range for this position is: $112,000 to $168,000. Where an individual falls within that range will vary based on several factors including geographic location and may vary depending on candidate qualifications and experience, applicable skills, and other job-related factors. We benchmark our pay ranges against current external data sources and regularly review compensation for our team members.
